Author Q&A
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am the proud and happy mother of an adult Down Syndrome son, Jean-Philippe, who soon will be 37. The love of my life! I have been a financial advisor for 30+ years and my retirement has motivated me to write full time, to publish and promote my values to children: Love, compassion, friendship, acceptance, protecting the most vulnerable. I have written over 60 children books, the first one professionally published is The Adventures of Pablo the Pangolin.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Well I wake up at 5am every day and I start my day writing between 300 and 600 words per day, every day. Creativity is like a muscle to me (!) the more I use it the more creative I get!
What are you working on now?
The Adventures of Pablo the Pangolin, episode2, 3 and 4. To be sold separately or in a bundle. The books are completely written, I am working with consultants to come up with the script for each book.

Using my Instagram carole.couture1024 I promote my stories and website: https://carolecoutureauthor.com

What are you reading now?
I am reading about the housing crisis in all major cities of the USA. I usually read one book a week. No novels anymore, now more social subjects, politics, AI.

Very young, the first book to inspire me was a gift from a charming relative, I was 10 years old.
Do you have a specific writing style?
I think I do. I like to bring the reader with me on the story journey, so I use action and surroundings descriptions. I hope I succeed in involving the reader in the story!
How did you come up with the title?
I always have pages of titles. Give me any title and I will come up with a story, I know, it’s weird!
Do you see writing as a career?
Most definitely, for the rest of my life! I am 63 years old.
Who designed the covers?
I have worked with Joshua Hunt of Premium Consultants based in California. Joshua has a very good understanding of my book’s soul…so his company came up with the cover and all the illustrations. And my opinion and advice has always been taken into consideration.
What genre do you consider your book(s)?
Children books with value messages played out by the characters, mostly animals.
