With this kiss…

In a city that cannot be found on any map that is inhabited entirely by witches, warlocks, vampires, and werewolves, Kyle McKane is seeking a cure for a curse that turns him into a blood hungry vampire during the night, and leaves him an exhausted, sleep deprived human during the day.

…She will cure him…

Jackie Moore is probably the worst witch in the city apart from her ability to heal wounds and illnesses with a touch of her lips. She rarely sees outsiders and is stunned to come face to teeth with Kyle when he finally succumbs to his hunger and attempts to bite her.

…Whether she wants to or not…

Instead she grabs him by the ears and kisses away his curse before he can sink his fangs into her. The problem is that the cure is only temporary until Kyle turns again the next night, and then goes out in search of Jackie so that she can cure him again, whether she wants to or not.

The Finnish Girl is a multi-generational story about a Finnish American family in Wisconsin and how their American dream threatens to become a nightmare. It begins with a young boy discovering his mother’s suicide and an unexpected cache of seemingly meaningless memorabilia. But behind those pieces of paper is a rich tapestry of interwoven lives—the family patriarch who emigrates from Finland to the United States to create his own future, a son who turns his back on his homeland as part of an ill-fated mission to Russia during the Depression, an elderly mother who faces deportation during McCarthy’s Red Scare era, and a young Finnish girl who cares too much about the injustices she sees.

The Finnish Girl was a semi-finalist in the 2014 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award competition and Publishers Weekly wrote, “Melancholic, brooding, and cut-to-the-bone incisive, this is a tale to remember.”

Molly’s Moon Sell Sheet (pdf)

Recent Praise for Molly’s Moon:
“Ron Parham’s first novel, Molly’s Moon, is exciting and entertaining. With the terror of 9/11 as its backdrop, the story of widowed American businessman Ethan Paxton’s working trip to Europe takes harrowing turn after turn when he learns his teenage daughter has been kidnapped by Mexican sex-traffickers just outside Tijuana. Telling his story from multiple viewpoints, Parham literally shoots for the moon, and he doesn’t miss his mark.” – JB Hogan, author of The Apostate and Angels in the Ozarks

“Move over Grisham, Parham’s on his way. Patterson’s got his Alex Cross, Lee Child has his Jack Reacher, and Ron Parham has Jake Delgado … really an interesting character.” – Trent Fewkes, retired IRS Agent

Molly's Moon AuthorAbout the Author:
Ron Parham is a businessman who worked in California’s Silicon Valley for thirty years, traveling the world and accumulating a vast storage of experiences, memories and friends. He now works for a major golf company in San Diego County and lives in the seaside community of Carlsbad, CA. Ron’s novels will be primarily based upon his unique experiences around the world, set against the exciting events of his generation. Molly’s Moon is an example of merging Ron’s experiences with the terror and chaos of 9/11, creating a suspenseful, thrilling story.

He began writing his first novel, Molly’s Moon, the day after he took voluntary retirement from his high-tech job on his birthday in 2011, and he hasn’t looked back. He finished the first draft of Molly’s Moon in six months, but took a year to complete the editing and rewrite. Pen-L Publishing, a small, family-owned company based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, home to the University of Arkansas, liked what they read and offered Ron a publishing contract in October of 2013.

Ron’s second novel, Copperhead Cove, will be published by Pen-L.com and should be out in late 2014.
