Genre: Self-Help

Why is there so much conflict around sexuality? How does a relationship that began with joy end up feeling like a chore? Why is attraction so seldom reciprocated? And what, if anything, does online dating have to do with love? In The Authentic Lover, you will discover the four great enemies of love: violence, pettiness, vanity, and our reproductive agenda.

If we can overcome these formidable enemies, nothing more keeps us from the vast experience of unconditional love. Starting from the raw data of evolutionary psychology and other modern research, this book takes us on a journey through traditional wisdom, Rumi’s poetry, samurai culture, and the dry humor that comes from firsthand experience. A picture emerges both of the pitfalls we all face as humans, and of the corresponding opportunities we always have at hand, but rarely tap into. The Authentic Lover shows a path for us to realize our birthright to love in a full and spontaneous way, free of unwanted ancestral, cultural, and emotional baggage.

Political/Science/History – The Fix Is In

the-fix-is-inThe Fix Is In
The Deutsche Bank Building Fire Conspiracy
J. A. Graffagnino
Publisher: AuthorHouse
Published: August 2016
ISBN: 978-1524618841
ASIN: B01KOQUUZY
Pages: 338
Genre: Non-Fiction, Political, Science, History

Finally, the truth is revealed about Manhattan’s Deutsche Bank building fire. The devastating fire at 130 Liberty Street in the heart of Manhattan’s financial center – a short distance from what was the World Trade Center – was one of the worst fires in New York City’s history. Two firefighters were killed, and 105 were injured. One of the firefighters killed during the horrific fire was author Graffagnino’s son, Joey.

Graffagnino refused to believe what high-level government decision makers were telling the public – that the fire was an accident.

After eight years of relentless research in pursuit of the truth – combing through public records and interviewing firefighters on the scene, government officials, informed observers, whistleblowers and eyewitnesses – Graffagnino uncovered the truth. The horrific seven-alarm Deutsche Bank building fire was no accident. And all efforts to quell the raging inferno were in vain.

The Fix Is In is not based upon a conspiracy theory, opinion or undocumented rumors, but confirmed facts. Graffagnino places blame where it belongs and exposes the people who benefitted from the catastrophe.

Find out for yourself. Discover the disturbing truth about a calculated and complex conspiracy involving top governmental agencies, corporate leaders and organized crime figures.

“The Deutsche Bank fire was preventable,” said FDNY Captain Simon Ressner. “Preventive measures were deliberately sidestepped in the name of ambition and in the name of money.”

American History – Jockey Hollow

jockey-hollowJockey Hollow: Where a Forgotten Army Persevered to Win America’s Freedom
By Rosalie Lauerman
Published: September 2016
ISBN: 978-0692507834
Pages: 120
Genre: American History

Award-winning book, “Jockey Hollow,” explores how the beaten up and worn down Continental soldiers faced the harshest winter of the century and how they dealt with chronic supply shortages, desertions, enemy attacks, mutiny, and even treason by one of their beloved officers. The starving soldiers often went unpaid as well.  In fact, the Pennsylvania and Massachusetts Lines hadn’t been paid in a year!

The book highlights the depth of the soldiers’ conviction that America should be a free country and the price they were willing to pay to win that freedom. In his farewell address, General Washington lauded the soldiers, saying, “The unparalleled perseverance of the Armies of the United States. . .was little short of a standing miracle.”

For chronicling the impact of Jockey Hollow on the soldiers and ultimately on the second half of the American Revolution, “Jockey Hollow” is the recipient of the 2016 Bronze IPPY award for Best Mid-Atlantic Region Nonfiction and the 2016 Silver Moonbeam award among nonfiction nominees.

Today Jockey Hollow is part of Morristown National Historical Park, the first national historical park in the United States.

The author comments, “Jockey Hollow Park and I were neighbors for over twenty-five years.  During that time, I often heard park visitors remark that they knew nothing about this Revolutionary encampment prior to their visit.  That’s when I decided to introduce the Jockey Hollow soldiers to today’s young readers.”
